but, wow, the flowers!

bright, sunny sky
scudding clouds
innocuous appearing

freshly scarred hillside
revealing its story

piles of debris
from violence unseen
powerful Nature
re-writing the plot

left-behind trees
especially the evergreens
bowing and scraping
