generating only beauty
burned to crisps underneath
climax color at red-hot heat
sunlit to glowing pitch
rapturously radiant
yellows, gold succeed
leaping top to top
in total conflagration
the forest succumbs
ghostly, haunting presence
littered with bronze ashes.
