Feeding Frenzy

Feathered hubbub
at winter feeders

no patient waiters
for landing clearance

in killing cold
midst gusty snows

just greedy eaters
at frantic pace

compulsive gluttons
in epic struggle

as wolfish hawk
patrols the premises.
