DNA gene imprints
evolution's success
also apocalypse
stuck in recurring ruts
of wars and corruption
sadly, unlikely escape
for humankind's folly
still creative genius
perhaps our saving grace
or re-acquired antidote
of not yet gene-imprinted love.
