Fall Foliage #6

Slow burn at lakeshore edge
not yet flickering
still mostly green

unseen combustion
sparking within
to smoldering color

sunlight arcing
to glowing limb tips
ready to ignite

a leafy blaze
soon to flare
into surreal state.
